About Beau
Beau Dooley is a former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier, author, and speaker dedicated to helping others transform adversity into purpose. After graduating high school in 2001, Beau answered the call to serve his country in the wake of September 11th and enlisted in the United States Army. He went on to serve with the 7th Special Forces Group, where he developed a deep understanding of leadership, resilience, and teamwork in high-pressure environments.
Following his military career, Beau discovered the power of storytelling and writing as a way to navigate the challenges of post-traumatic stress and the difficult transition from the battlefield to civilian life. What began as a personal outlet quickly evolved into a mission to help others confront adversity, rebuild identity, and rediscover purpose.
Beau is a published author and poet. His book, You This Is Me…OVER? (A Soldier’s Mind Unwrapped and Revealed), explores the mental, spiritual, and physical challenges faced by many of today’s most elite warriors. Written in a deeply vulnerable and authentic voice, the book offers insights that resonate far beyond the military community. Through stories of loss, faith, healing, and personal accountability, Beau invites readers to reflect on the shared human experiences that connect us all.
Whether someone has served in uniform or simply loves someone who has, Beau’s writing helps readers gain a deeper awareness that people are more than their rank, titles, income, or the trauma they carry. At its core, his work reminds us that humanity—not labels—is the common thread that binds us together.
Today, Beau shares the lessons learned through his experiences in Special Forces and through personal hardship with audiences across the country. His talks focus on resilience, leadership, mental health awareness, and the discipline required to overcome life’s toughest battles.
Beau was hand-selected by U.S. Navy SEAL and New York Times bestselling author of Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell, to join the elite Team Never Quit Professional Speakers Bureau. Through his speaking and writing, Beau continues his mission of service by helping veterans, leaders, and organizations find strength, clarity, and purpose in the face of adversity.
